These burgers are really big. Your gonna want to split one with someone. This to me is one of the best burgers in town. Good fries and onion rings. This place is a little shabby, I don't think the place has changed, ever. It's still worth it.

Walked in with 5 people. There wasn’t any people other than us sitting down. The waitress didn’t acknowledge us until 10 min of us sitting down. Still didn’t give us our menus or drink orders. 15 minutes in when she said she would be right with us and still didn’t come over. She was filling sauce bottles. We walked out.

I hadn't been to Effie's in years. Thought I'd try it..not like I remembered.. The bun had standing lard on it and the lettuce was a actually dripping with grease.. when the grease got cold it was actual white lard. So gross! Took care of that whim for a long time. If not for good. So disappointed..

Welcome to the Big League of Burgers! I got the one and only Effie Burger and let me tell you this- it's shockingly large. The fries were excellent and more importantly the service was BEYOND AMAZING! Ask for Syrina and you are gonna have a good time! Who knew that the best place to make new friends also has a burger the size of your head? Go ahead and try to finish it, I dare ya.

Normally a good place with good food. Ordered a hamburger with no relish, somehow they mixed that up with no bread. Got beef, cheese, tomato and lettuce, but where is the bun? Is it even a hamburger? Or just finely dressed beef? The cook is obviously more high than I am.

I've been a regular to Effies for well over 7 years now, the new owner Randee is holding true to what makes Effies, Effies.THE best burgers in the surrounding area for miles& I'm personally waiting for what Randee has in store for the future of the Tavern.If you haven't tried it yet please do!Everyone is friendly, the food is top notch!!!

The Effie burger is glorious. The beef patties are very good and very big the problem is the bun is as big (bigger) to match, which some might not consider a bad thing.

The people are friendly, small with the largest, most delicious burger ever!! Service was great too!! Not fast food. Burgers are so big you can cut in 4, to share, made to order. Onion rings and fries were fresh and delicious too. They also have take out.

Randy!! She's the impressive, positive and brand new owner.This busy gal has worked here many years and successfully bringing Effies back to its earlier glory. Her sincere smile, genuine conversation and upbeat attitude makes an impact before you even look at the menu. We came to celebrate our anniversary.Food was delicious. Our gizzards disappeared before I got a photo. We split an Effie burger and she bought our beer when she learned we came to Lewiston celebrating an anniversary! We left w full tummies and warm hearts. Do yourself a favor and come enjoy. We relaxed, played our backgammon game, and felt welcome among locals and other 1st timers. Definitely a clean and inviting environment.
